Job description

At Focus Entertainment, our goal is to offer players around the world unique experiences.
Our editorial line stands out thanks to innovative concepts, alternative gameplay, and original universes that transcend the boundaries of video gaming.

Reporting to the Director of Management Control, you are part of the Group Management Control team, and you are specifically responsible for the management control processes of the Publishing activities.
You contribute to the Group’s monthly reporting, analyze and comment on variances between actuals and forecasts.
You also provide regular reports to all department heads, whether in business departments or support functions, acting as a key player in fostering a culture of financial control and management within the Group.

In this role:

  • You oversee revenue recognition for publishing activities: You work closely with the sales teams and accounting department to determine provisions and stabilize revenue per game, ensuring compliance with the deadlines for closing and external publication (as a listed group, with quarterly revenue reporting). This involves staying informed about live game updates, launch dates for games and their additional content (DLCs), specific commercial operations, and price changes across distribution platforms. You collaborate closely with business teams and manage their operational data.

  • You are responsible for defining the margin per game by monitoring all costs, including royalties and development costs, in line with publishing contract terms and applicable accounting standards.

  • You control and analyze all overheads and payroll within the publishing activity, as well as for the Group’s Holding company, covering support function costs.

  • During budgeting and periodic forecasting phases, you lead and organize the process to provide revenue forecasts, game margins, and overheads for publishing activities and the Group’s Holding company.

  • You act as the main contact for auditors on all these subjects, ensuring the quality of the figures and the supporting documentation provided.

  • You improve closing processes and propose enhancements to associated tools to ensure greater reliability, automation, and shorter timelines.

  • You participate in the transformation projects of the finance function, potentially including the implementation of a new EPM system, in line with the Group’s priorities and regulatory developments.

Job requirements

  • What We Expect from You:
