As the true right-hand person to the Accounting Director, you will work closely with him on the entire scope, both at the head office and subsidiaries. You will be responsible for two general accountants, each with a defined scope, and a customer accountant.
Your main missions will be:
1- Daily management of accounting and ensuring compliance:
Supervision of customer accounting (monitoring customer accounts and follow-ups) and general accounting (provisions, payroll, taxes, etc.)
Continuous and regular exchanges with the supplier accounting
Ensure proper monitoring of the establishment of tax returns and annual accounts
Ensure proper monitoring of annual legal matters
Ensure management of the company's tax declarations (VAT, corporate tax, and other tax obligations).
2- Establishment of periodic closures (including semi-annual and annual publications):
For companies with internalized accounting: complete closure establishment in collaboration with internal accounting teams
For French companies with outsourced accounting and foreign companies: ensure monitoring, communication, and review of information feedback with the general accountant in charge
Establishment and monitoring of closure schedules in collaboration with management control
Ensure compliance with regulatory and tax requirements
3- Audit and Consolidated Accounts:
You will be responsible for the proper reciprocity of inter-company accounts
You will be the main contact person for the company that prepares the Group's consolidated accounts.
Key contact for auditors on both statutory and consolidated accounts
You will play an essential role in preparing the semi-annual and annual financial reports that are published
4- Management:
You will supervise a team of three people by defining the team's priorities and objectives in agreement with your managers
You will contribute to the development of employees' skills and the definition of their training plan
You will support the team in daily tasks
5- Cross-functional Projects
Implementation of standardized and homogenized processes for subsidiaries with internalized accounting in collaboration with the Finance Department
Deployment and optimization of accounting automation processes
Participation in projects to improve financial processes and systems
Job requirements
What we expect from you:
· You enjoy working on project mode and have already dealt with external growth and the accounting implications that follow
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Audit, or DSCG
· Five years of experience in an audit or accounting firm or at least seven years of experience as a general accounting manager in an international environment
· Successful management experience
· Proficiency in French GAAP accounting rules, social and tax regulations, and legislation in France
· Good use of common Excel features
· Written and oral English (emails and external communications)
· Knowledge of SAP (by Design) is a plus
