TASKS:

The trainee will have the opportunity to work with all members of the Legal Department team and to be an integral part of it, in particular on the following assignments:

Intellectual property:

  • Drafting contracts and legal advice on intellectual property law (trademark law, copyright, image rights, merchandising, personal data, partnerships, digital law and software) ;
  • Assistance in managing the brand and domain name portfolio;
  • Assistance in managing the end of rights;
  • Monitoring legal developments in the field of intellectual property; and
  • Participating in the drafting of intellectual property guidelines.

Business law:

  • Assistance in drafting and negotiating distribution contracts (physical and digital);
  • Monitoring legislative and regulatory developments affecting the video games industry.
  • And, more generally, providing assistance and support to the legal team for any similar assignments that the department or operational staff (including studios) may require.

Job requirements

  • IEJ /Master 2 / DJCE / LL.M. / Science Po in intellectual property law, with an interest in digital and business law.
  • Excellent command of French and fluent English;
  • Good knowledge of the fundamentals of intellectual property law and business law;
  • Strong drafting, analytical and contractual skills;
  • Thoroughness, attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Sensitivity to the world of video games (but not compulsory); and
  • Sensitivity to personal data may be appreciated (occasional assignments may be required).
  • Experience: A first significant experience (internship / sandwich course) in a company or law firm.
