As an IT / Intellectual Property Counsel, you will support Pullup Entertainment and its French and international subsidiaries on all legal matters related to:
Intellectual Property
Information Technology
The protection and enhancement of the Group’s assets
In this role, both strategic and operational, you will work closely with creative, technical, and marketing teams.
You will also supervise a junior legal counsel responsible for contracts with production partners and external providers.
Your Responsibilities :
1. Industrial Property & Asset Value Strategy
Manage and develop the Group’s trademark portfolio (France and international)
Support teams in the selection and clearance of game titles
Oversee trademark filings, renewals, oppositions, and disputes
Contribute to the protection and strategic development of the Group’s IP assets (trademarks, copyrights, licenses)
2. Intellectual Property – Licensing & Rights Exploitation
Secure the entire contractual chain related to IP rights
Support teams in protecting creative assets used in video games (characters, universes, music, artworks)
Negotiate inbound and outbound licensing agreements
Advise teams on partnership projects and rights exploitation
3. IT Contracts & Support for Technical Teams
Draft and negotiate IT contracts, including:
SaaS, PaaS, software development and maintenance, software licenses, middleware, hosting, cybersecurity and technical servicesIdentify and secure IP, liability and security issues related to IT projects
Develop and maintain IT contractual templates and standards
4. Supervision
Manage and mentor a junior legal counsel
Supervise contracts with production partners (studios, freelancers, vendors)
Support the development and upskilling of the junior team member
5. Legal Processes & Group Structuring
Improve legal processes related to IT, IP and production
Contribute to the harmonization of Group legal tools (CLM systems, templates, internal guides)
Support the structuring and development of the Group’s legal function
6. Legal Training & Knowledge Sharing
Design and deliver internal legal training sessions
Develop practical legal tools and resources for operational teams
7. Legal Monitoring
Conduct ongoing legal monitoring in intellectual property, digital law, IT and the video game industry
Anticipate regulatory and legal developments impacting the Group’s activities
Job requirements
What We Expect From You
You hold a Master’s degree (Master 2) in Intellectual Property Law, Digital Law, Contract Law, or an equivalent qualification, and have at least 4–5 years of professional experience, gained either in a law firm or in-house.
You have developed a strong expertise in intellectual and industrial property law (copyright, licensing, trademarks) and have solid experience with IT contracts (SaaS, software licensing, development, maintenance, hosting).
Ideally, you have worked in international or multi-entity environments, and experience in the video game, entertainment, or creative industries would be highly appreciated.
You are also comfortable managing trademark portfolios and negotiating complex agreements. A first managerial or supervisory experience would be considered a plus.
You are fluent in both French and English, written and spoken, in a professional environment.
