We are looking for a Legal Manager specialized in intellectual and industrial property to support the strategic challenges of the Group and its subsidiary Dotemu.

As part of its development, we are looking for a Legal Manager specialized in intellectual and industrial property to support the strategic challenges of the Group and its subsidiary Dotemu.

Your missions:

Reporting to the Group Legal Director, you will be responsible for the legal activity of Dotemu and will ensure the hierarchical and operational management of a legal professional.

In this role, you will be involved in the following missions:

1) Support and management of the Dotemu subsidiary

  • Direct involvement in strategic and complex cases;

  • Support for sensitive negotiations and new economic models;

  • Securing video game publishing and distribution activities;

  • Managing pre-litigation and litigation;

  • Supervising and validating legal work within the team.

2) Industrial property & asset valuation

  • Managing, protecting, and developing the Group's trademark portfolio in France and internationally;

  • Supporting creative and marketing teams in the selection and securing of titles;

  • Managing trademark filings, renewals, oppositions, and litigation;

  • Defining and implementing strategies for the protection, valuation, and exploitation of intellectual property assets.

3) Intellectual property

  • Advising operational teams on issues related to rights exploitation and partnerships;

  • Securing the entire contractual chain related to intellectual property rights;

  • Overseeing issues related to copyrights, licenses, music, trademarks, and neighboring rights;

  • Defining the legal framework related to the use of generative AI in production processes.

4) Legal culture processes & dissemination

  • Participating in the continuous improvement of legal tools and processes;

  • Designing and conducting internal training;

  • Developing educational materials to promote team autonomy.

Job requirements

What we expect from you:

  • You have a Master's degree in intellectual property law, digital law, contract law, or equivalent, and at least 7 years of experience, gained in a law firm or company.

  • You have developed a solid expertise in intellectual and industrial property law (copyright, licenses, trademarks) as well as an excellent mastery of complex contractual negotiation.

  • You have ideally worked in international or multi-entity environments, and experience in the video game, entertainment, or creative industries sectors would be highly appreciated.

  • You also have experience in managing trademark portfolios and valuing intellectual property assets. Managerial or supervisory experience is a plus.

  • You are fluent in French and English in a professional context, both in writing and speaking.
